Powerhouse Takes Manhattan

The Powerhouse sales triumvirate recently returned from a trip to NYC where they spent several days meeting with various ad agencies and game studios-- evangelizing the good word of capitalistic American animation and mesmerizing the city folk with their Texan charm.

While in town we also had a chance to check out some sites, including the massive Toys R Us in Times Square (which is totally a reasonable place for adults to go, I might add).

We also had a chance to take a stroll across the Brooklyn Bridge.

And, as always, there was beer and french fries.

We had a great time and met lots of amazingly creative people, but we're glad to be back home! Thanks to the big apple for having us!

After more than two years of work, Powerhouse Animation has wrapped production on Jasper The Mule!!

The Jasper project consisted of 4 direct to DVD episodes based on the Jasper illustrated children's books written by Meredith Hodges. German Bugs Bunny

The Powerhouse gang recently completed another project for our favorite German company, AnimationsFabrik! This time around we had the pleasure of animating some of our favorite Looney Tunes characters. We don't know what they're saying, but who doesn't love Bugs, Tweety, Daffy, Wile E. Coyote and Roadrunner playing sports and speaking German?!

We're on TV!

Powerhouse Animation recently teamed up with New York production company Meetinghouse to create some animated segments... for television! We've created several short pieces for this season's new episodes of "World's Dumbest" on truTV. Check them out on our featured page, or watch the videos below! Enjoy!

Keep your head on a swivel for upcoming episodes of the show and more animated segments from Powerhouse!!

For any of you who have been living in a cave the past several months, Sony is about to release the highly anticipated new PS3 game from their Austin studio, Lightbox Interactive. Starhawk, which is a sequel (of sorts) to 2007's successful game Warhawk, comes out in just two weeks... and we cannot wait!

Powerhouse has been lucky enough to work with our neighbors at Lightbox on this project creating several 2d cinematics for the game-- many of which are featured in their newest trailer. Take a look at the new Playstation Blog for more information: http://blog.us.playstation.com/2012/04/25/starhawk-its-got-a-story-baby/

The Banner Saga

Powerhouse Animation is excited to announce our involvement with the upcoming Banner Saga from Austin-based Stoic Studio!

In case you haven't heard about this project yet, the Banner Saga, according to the good folks at Stoic, "is a role-playing game merged with turn-based strategy, wrapped into an adventure mini-series about vikings." We've been enlisted by the Stoic team to produce some character attack animations as well as some animated cutscenes for the game-- which is slated to have its initial release sometime this summer.

Stoic has been having incredible success with their Kickstarter campaign, which you can explore here: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/stoic/the-banner-saga

Check out this beautiful Announcement trailer and contribute to their campaign while you can! You only have 11 days left!

Thanks again to the team at Stoic for involving us in this project and stay tuned for more information as it progresses...
